Shinfield Studios – a new studio complex
Out and about again yesterday to meet with Mark Hackett and Ruby Hornsey at the new Shinfield Studios to visit on behalf of a client. Just in the late stages of completion quite a thing to walk this large brand new studio-complex as the wrappers (almost literally) come off. Of particular interest to a current project is the size range of studio space from a 43,000 sq. ft to a more humble 17,000 sq. ft. So a selection of work spaces for a range of uses across a variety of production budgets.
Virtual Production Visits
Just to thank Stephen Maddox at iMAG (www.imagdisplays.co.uk) and Pete Martin at Distortion Studios in Bristol for my recent visits. With a view to maximising production value for so of my on-going projects I've been looking at how best to utilise the rapidly expanding tech. in virtual production, from smaller scale driving plates to full immersive environments. This versatile technology has the potential to provide cost effective alternatives for HETV as well as film projects at a cost and scale that is increasingly within the scope of many productions.
